Child Find--Harford County Public Schools

Child Find is a special education service provided by Harford County Public Schools to identify children within Harford County from age 3+ who are suspected of having an educational disability and who may be eligible for special education and related services.

The Harford County Infants and Toddlers program provides early intervention services to children, ages 1 -5, who have delays in development or who are at risk for developmental delay. Services are provided at no cost to children living in Harford County

Federally-funded program that provides healthy foods to eligible pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to age five.  Offers vouchers to purchase nutritious foods, nutrition counseling, and help with breastfeeding.

Child Protective Services

Offers services for children who have been abused or neglected and to parents or other adults having permanent or temporary care of the children.  The goal is to protect the child and assist parents in providing proper care to the child and decrease the risk of continuing abuse or neglect.  CPS will provide an alternate plan of care for the child when the parents are unable to do so.

Child Care Subsidy Program

Provides financial assistance with childcare costs to eligible working families.  Families receive a voucher from the Maryland State Department of Education to take to the childcare provider of their choice indicating the MSDE subsidiary and the parental-assigned co-payment.  The MSDE subsidiary is paid directly to the provider.
