Enrollment and Registration
We will accept new student enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis for each preschool, kindergarten, elementary class and infant or toddler group until the class roster is filled. Regulations currently allow 13 students total in our 3-year-old, 3/4 multi-age program, 4-year-old program, kindergarten, and elementary school classrooms. Preschool 2-year-olds are limited to 12 students in each group, Toddler groups have no more than 9 students and Infant groups have no more than 6 students. Students may enroll as part-time or full-time. AM or full day options are available for preschool students (2, 3, and 4-year-old) only. Tuition will be based on the number of days your child is scheduled and whether your child attends during only the AM or for the full day. Click here for tuition information.
Infants/Toddlers
Regulations allow 6 students total each day in our infant groups, 9 students total in our toddler groups. . Infants and Toddlers are enrolled for a full-time program.
Families with children currently enrolled in our Infant programs will not need to re-register for continued care year to year. Families with children enrolled in our Toddler or Preschool programs at Forest Hill Nature Preschool will have the opportunity to re-register for the next school year in advance of the public registration period. Re-registration information will be sent out in December and current families will have until the end of January exclusively to secure a space in the program for the next year. Our enrollment year for preschool students is from September-May with a separate summer registration. Infant and toddler students can enroll at any time given availability in their age-appropriate class. Parents may request specific classes in the preschool during re-registration until all placements in the class are full.
Each child entering the program will need a completed Emergency Form and a completed Health Inventory form. The Emergency Form is completed by the parents and reviewed each year for changes. The Health Inventory form must be completed by both the parents and the child’s pediatrician. If your child has attended another program, you may transfer these forms, providing the forms were completed and signed within the past year. Student registration forms must be accompanied by the $150 registration fee to hold your child’s placement in the program. The registration fee will be used to pay for in-hours enrichment program, classroom supplies and field trips when they are once again permitted by Licensing for your child throughout the school year.
We open up re-enrollment for the next school year to current families around Christmas time. Current families are given a “first dibs” to make their class selections for the next school year.
Once registration for a particular class has reached its maximum, we will provide a waiting list for any other families wishing to enroll students in the class. The waiting list form will be available online for families to complete and submit. There is no charge for adding your child’s name to the waiting list. In the event that a space opens up in a class (a current student either withdraws or is dismissed), we will contact families on the waiting list in the order that their waiting list request forms were submitted. When a waiting list form is submitted, we will contact the family to let you know your placement number on the waiting list. Although we do not regularly inform families of movement on the waiting list, you are welcome to contact the school at any time to check on the status of your child’s waiting list request. If you are contacted from the waiting list regarding an available placement, you will have up to 5 business days to contact the school, confirm your interest in the placement, and submit your child’s registration form. Failure to contact the school or submit your child’s registration will forfeit your child’s placement, and we will move to the next name on the waiting list to offer the placement.
Most of our classes are full for the current school year. To be added to the waiting list for any class, please submit your Wait List request below. There is no charge to be added to the waiting list. We will contact you shortly to inform you of your child's placement on the waiting list. Waiting list requests can be made for the current or upcoming school year, but we do not hold requests beyond next school year.
