Toilet Training

It is not necessary that children entering the 2-year-old class or 3-year-old class be potty trained to enroll in our program.  We do ask that children in the 3-year-old class be working toward potty training, and that children in the 4-year-old class and Kindergarten class be fully potty trained prior to starting the school year.  Each classroom has  a bathroom for students to use throughout the day and we will encourage independence appropriate to the level of each individual child.  Our teachers are happy to work with your child to help him or her in the potty training process when you feel your child is ready.  If your child is wearing underwear at home, we encourage you to keep your child in underwear at school as well to help maintain consistency for your child.  Please communicate openly with your child’s teacher regarding any potty training progress at home or any concerns you may have.  Our goal is to help your child move toward independence at a pace that is comfortable for your child.
