Registration Fees
Registration fees are due at the time of registration, and are required to hold your child's space in preschool. Registration fees will be used to pay for field trips and supplies for your child in the upcoming preschool year. To complete the registration process, you will need to fill out a Registration Form and submit with payment to the school by mail or in person. Staff are available at the school weekdays from 7 AM-6 PM. Because spaces in the preschool are limited, we control registration for available spaces by sending Registration forms out to parents when a space is available for your child.

Minimum Wage Increases and Increased Tuition
The issue of raising the minimum wage is certainly a highly charged debate. On one hand, we want workers to make a living wage and to be able to provide for their families. On the other hand, small business owners will need to raise prices on their retail merchandise to be able to increase wages for workers. In childcare, we are committed to providing high quality care for our students and to paying our staff salaries that will attract and keep teachers who can provide that care. As the minimum wage increases across the board, the teachers in our programs will need be compensated at higher and higher rates as well. As business owners, we will need to provide for our employees, not only to meet the minimum wage standards set in place by the new state legislation, but to attract staff from other jobs where they can make new minimum wage salaries with less responsibility.
Because the investment we make in our employees ensures that the children in our program receive the highest quality of care, our goal will be to offer our employees more than minimum wage. We aim to create salary scales that reward our teachers for increased levels of training and experience. Increases to the lower levels of our salary scale will necessitate increases to all levels of our salary scale to make sure compensation is fair for our teachers.
We are sharing this information with you so that you will be aware that tuition prices will need to increase to cover the additional costs of staffing that our business will incur with the upcoming minimum wage changes. In order to make the increases manageable for both our parents’ and our program’s budget, we will plan to make these changes incrementally over the next few years. Please understand that we are aware that the cost of childcare can be burdensome for some families. We are excited to remind you that the state of Maryland has made increased funds available for families to assist with the cost of childcare through their Tuition Scholarship program. Please feel free to contact the school office for more information about how to apply for scholarships to help you pay for your child’s continued care.
Thank you for taking the time to understand the reasons behind our increased pricing for next year’s programs, and please feel free to contact the administration with any additional questions.
